We were craving biscuits and gravy and came across this diner on yelp when we searched “best biscuits and gravy” in the Oceanside area. This diner has a small parking lot up front. Otherwise, you'll need to find parking out on the street. The restaurant has a homey, barnyard type feel with random decorations and signs. Employees were very friendly. We were seated, with drink and food orders taken, fairly quickly. However, after we received our food, we didn't see much of the servers and was a bit difficult for us to get the extra sauces that we wanted. Prices were very reasonable and you get large portions of food. . We ended up ordering a full order of the Biscuits and Gravy and the Country Stuffed Hash Browns with a pancake. It was definitely a lot of food for the two of us. The biscuits were large and soft. There was plenty of gravy which was tasty, but wished it was a lot warmer when it came out to us. The Country Stuffed Hash Browns was our favorite. They were nice enough to split the serving onto two separate plates for us. The has browns were stuffed with bacon, sausage, ham, and topped with an over easy egg and came with a side of salsa. The pancake was good and came topped with two scoops of butter and a side of maple syrup. Good service and yummy food. Give this place a try if you happen to be in the area.

So I found this place on Yelp. I had bookmarked another but it was wait was too long. So I came here. And not regretting it one bit. As I walked in through the patio. I was looking around for a seat. I walked in the door to the inside and saw a seat at the breakfast bar. I'm rolling solo, so opted out of the patio. Save it for the bigger groups. And sat down with some of the locals. I was greeted right away. Very friendly staff. But very busy. Sat right across from the kitchen. So I was able to see what was coming out. Great when your ADD has kicked in and all the stuff sounds great on the menu. Though everything looks great. So sitting among the locals I learn that the biscuits and gravy are made from scratch. The meats are bought from the grocery store next door. The coffee served is Kona Blend. And the Bae Benedict is the best to get. Also they have a liquor license. I learned that when I checked in. A Free Mimosa popped up for checking in. That can't be a bad way to start. And you need it to make up your mind. The menu is long. Lots of choices. But I went simple and got a Meat lovers omelette with hash browns and up graded to a biscuit and gravy. Since they are made from scratch. And it was a great choice. Though I did keep eyeing the French toast and the pancakes. My food was great. My omelette full of meat. Chunks of ham, sausage, bacon and cheese. Eggs done right. All mixed together and cooked perfect. The hash browns crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. And last but not least the biscuits and gravy. I was hoping for the best. And they didn't let me down. It reminded me of being in Ohio. Yes that good. And yes I've had Amish food. The service was great. I had my waitress Barbara. She was great. Very helpful. Told me about almost all the local favorites and some that are not. She kept coming to check on me. But all 4 ladies basically waited on me. When they would come back to the kitchen area and saw my water was down. They just came and filled it. My food came out while another server was getting her food. And she gave me mine first. Instead of me having to wait. The cooks who are the puzzle pieces behind the whole taste experience. Well how can I put it. They kicked butt. Always moving and making sure everything was right. I could see that they took pride in what they made. And the servers with the cooks worked well by double checking the plates. A great teamwork to make it a pleasure to eat here. Over all I had a great experience. I fully recommend this place to everyone who is hungry for breakfast. I want to say that their lunch will be the same. I just didn't stay for lunch. Maybe next time. I am happy the other place was full. Because I think I found a better place. Thank you all for making my first time the best.
